HEALTH REQUIREMENTS FOR STUDYING IN KOREA
Health is one of the important conditions for successful study abroad in Korea. If you have one of the two diseases below, you will not be granted a visa to study in Korea:
+ Tuberculosis or pulmonary tuberculosis
Tuberculosis and pulmonary tuberculosis are infectious diseases, easily transmitted through the respiratory tract. Therefore, if you are unfortunate enough to have this disease, you will not be granted a visa to enter Korea. This is to prevent the disease from spreading to the community. You need to completely cure the disease if you still want to continue studying abroad in Korea.
However, if you have tuberculosis or pulmonary tuberculosis, you should not worry too much. Currently, medicine is very developed, so treating this disease is no longer a "difficult problem". Many people have completely recovered after a period of active treatment. If treated with care, you will recover quickly and be able to fulfill your dream of studying abroad soon after.
+ Avian influenza H5N1, H7N9 and dangerous infectious diseases
There is no need to warn more about the dangers of avian influenza H5N1 and H7N9 because the consequences they cause are reflected in the alarming number of deaths due to this disease, up to thousands of people in many countries around the world.
Therefore, people infected with this disease will not be allowed to enter Korea to avoid an outbreak, causing a difficult situation to control in terms of medical and health for people in the country. Not only Korea but other countries also prohibit cases of infection with this dangerous disease to ensure the safest for their citizens.
+ Can people with hepatitis B study abroad in Korea?
Hepatitis B is also a disease that has the risk of spreading. However, because the level of danger is not too high, if you have hepatitis B, you can still go study in Korea. Similarly, some other infectious diseases such as syphilis, gonorrhea, etc. are still allowed to enter Korea.
However, currently, some universities and colleges in Korea have quite strict regulations on health conditions when accepting students to school. Therefore, in order to avoid being unfortunately denied a visa, you should have regular health check-ups to be able to detect and treat promptly if you are unlucky enough to contract the above infectious diseases. Besides, you should also carefully study the health requirements of the school you plan to attend to have the best preparation.
